Arca shares score for Pitti Uomo fashion event

The menswear fashion show will feature Arca’s music as the collection’s soundtrack.

Arca, who released his debut album ‘Xen’ last year, has unveiled his latest, more unusual musical endeavour: he was recently asked by menswear brand Hood By Air - a New York-based label established by Shayne Oliver in 2006 - to produce the score for the collection’s launch.

The score itself comes titled ‘Sheep’ and features original material from Arca, with art direction provided by his collaborator Jesse Kanda. The fifteen-minute soundtrack has now been shared online and also features samples of Robert Wyatt, Beek and Björk, who Arca recently worked with on her forthcoming album ‘Vulnicura’.

The brand’s upcoming spring and summer clothing range has been previewed at the recent Pitti Uomo event, which is currently taking place in Florence, Italy.

This isn’t the only output to come from the Venezuelan producer in recent months: back in December, Arca shared a special cover of Shakira’s ‘Hips Don’t Lie’.
