Ooh!
Arctic Monkeys have hinted at their new album’s release date
Matt Helders told a fan a bit about the potential release of the follow-up to ‘AM’.
Could the new Arctic Monkeys album be coming sooner than expected?
If what drummer Matt Helders has told a fan recently, then yes. As noted by Triple J, he told a fan about the band’s plan to release the long-awaited follow-up to 2013’s ‘AM’ in May, which was then relayed via Instagram. He we also in a kebab shop, where he said that he liked cheesy chips and gravy. Yep.
This all follows Alex Turner also telling a fan that a new single from the band would be coming “soon”. Perhaps some new music is just around the corner then? Let’s hope so.
Earlier this week the band revealed that they would be releasing their debut album ‘Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not’ on vinyl. They’ve also been announced for this year’s Lollapalooza and are set to head to just about every European festival this year too, including Open’er, Primavera, Rock Werchter and Mad Cool.
Take a look at the fan’s Instagram post below.
Arctic Monkeys will play Mad Cool (12th-14th July) where DIY is an official media partner. Tickets are on sale now. Visit diymag.com/presents for more information.
