Arsenal’s Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain is pretty good at drums
Footballer joins Petr Cech in the ranks of pros with drumming skills.

Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is a dab hand at the drums, it turns out.
The England international recently uploaded an Instagram video of him trying his hand at an electronic kit. It’s short and sweet, but it adds the Ox to the ranks of professional footballers trying their hand at drumming in their spare time.
Most notably, last month Petr Cech started uploading videos of drums covers, where he took on songs from Foo Fighters and Coldplay. Not just any Coldplay song, either - nope, he covered the specific version of ‘Clocks’ that was recorded live in Austin, Texas for SXSW.
Cech is still taking requests. Last night he uploaded a new cover, of Foo Fighters’ ‘Best of You’. “Great song , great drums by Taylor Hawkins and it is really fun to play,” he says in the Youtube description. “One take again,” he added.
Who’s next? Is Michael Owen good with the sticks when he’s not purchasing great new Range Rovers and avoiding movies? Will Steven Gerrard give it a go as a legally binding clause in his new contract?
The drumming footballer movement is here, no doubt about it.
