Avey Tare’s Slasher Flicks Announce ‘Enter The Slasher House’ Album

, footage emerged of Animal Collective’s Avey Tare arriving on stage fronting a new group, Slasher Flicks. Early glimpses showed the project putting an emphasis on Avey’s grizzly, screaming routine that’s filtered out slightly during recent Animal Collectives record. It also showed him playing with Angel Deradoorian (formerly of Dirty Projectors) and Ponytail’s Jeremy Hyman.

The band have since announced their debut record, ‘Enter The Slasher House’. It’s out via Domino on 7th April, headed up by the lead single ‘Little Fang’.

If anything, the lead track roots for a disco fevered embrace, warped vocals (Avey’s staple) giving glitterballs a new, oddball sheen.
