Baby In Vain share new track ‘Low Life’

After recently sharing the video for ‘To Heaven And Back’, Danes Baby In Vain have shared another cut from upcoming debut album ‘More Nothing’.

‘Low Life’ began life three years ago as a hard rock song. The band found themselves being unsatisfied with the sound of the track, but eventually settled on the tone that it should be. When working on their debut, they took out the hard rock elements and let ‘Low Life’ become the song it is today, a swooning rock meditation.

Speaking of the track, Andrea Thuesen Johansen said: “The lyrics of the song are about a very unhealthy relationship that a person very close to me was in, back when we were the early version of the song. It had a great impact on my life, and I had a really hard time making sense of it all, so writing about it felt like the obvious thing to do. Looking back on it now I probably wasn’t as reflective as I am today, so the anger I felt while it was going on dominates the lyrics. I’d like to think that had it happened today, I would’ve been able to explore my emotions more and be a little more sensitive and subtle about it, but then again…”

In October, Baby In Vain will also be heading out on a tour of the UK in support of their debut in October, heading to all sorts of cities in the UK along the way (including Glasgow, Leeds, London, Cardiff, Birmingham, London and loads more). Tickets for all the UK dates are on sale now.
