Beacons Festival 2011 Cancelled Due To Flooding

Beacons Festival has been cancelled due to flooding.

‘It is with sincere regret that the organisers of Beacons Festival 2011 have had to announce its cancellation,’ it was confirmed on Twitter (@BEACONSFEST).

‘Due to severe adverse weather, the event site is no longer considered to be safe for a public audience in the opinion of the authorities.’

‘Please do not come to the site further announcements will be made later today. Please hold on to all tickets and receipts for the time being.’

The brand new event was set to take place from 11th – 14th August at Heslaker Farm in Skipton.

Tom Vek was set to headline the event, with the likes of Jamie Woon, Jamie XX, Summer Camp and Benjamin Francis Leftwich elsewhere on the bill.
