Belle and Sebastian cancel European tour
Dates have been pulled because of Stuart Murdoch’s current health.
Belle and Sebastian have been forced to cancel their upcoming European tour, which was due to start this month.
In a statement to fans, the band cite Stuart Murdoch’s poor health as the reason for cancellation.
The statement reads:
“Belle and Sebastian regret to announce the cancellation of their upcoming tour of mainland Europe. This is due to lead singer Stuart Murdoch’s current health.
It is a huge disappointment for us not to make the concerts, and the decision was not taken easily.
Stuart wants nothing else but to be able to play and sing for you, but has to get better first. We hope you understand.
Love and respect, as always
Belle and Sebastian.”
The band’s next UK shows are two dates at London’s Royal Albert Hall, 22nd and 23rd June.
