Belle and Sebastian share ‘The Cat With The Cream’
New track will feature on forthcoming album ‘Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance’.

Belle and Sebastian are gearing up the release of their new album ‘Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance’ by sharing a new track today. ‘The Cat With The Cream’ is the third release to be taken from the album, which follows ‘The Party Line’ and ‘Nobody’s Empire’. The group also announced yesterday that they will be playing this year’s Coachella festival.
‘The Cat With The Cream’ harks back to the Glasgow group’s cinematic and luxurious tracks, after the previous two singles that show a more jaunty side to the album. Rich strings and classical textures permeate the track, with Stuart Murdoch and Sarah Martin providing sumptuous vocals for a tale that questions a politician in a kitchen-sink drama.
‘Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance’ is released on Matador 19th January. Listen to ‘The Cat With The Cream’ below.
