Belle and Sebastian unveil new single, ‘The Party Line’
Lead track is taken from ‘Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance’.

A new disco direction’s been hinted at, but here it is in full bloom. Belle and Sebastian are streaming ‘The Party Line’, a stomping lead from their new album ‘Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance’.
Stuart Murdoch and co. have dosed up on all their Giorgio Morodor staples for this lead track, the first to be lifted from the new EP.
All muted funk lines and pummelling bass, it’s a neat contrast to Murdoch’s typically sweet vocal.
Yesterday Belle and Sebastian were confirmed to headline Liverpool Sound City next May within a 2015 tour. Tonight they play Bexhill-On-Sea’s De La Warr Pavilion, 29th October.
