Black Lips & The Lightning Seeds For Hop Farm Festival
They’ll join My Bloody Valentine, The Horrors, The Cribs and First Aid Kit at the Kent-based event.
There’s been a handful of new additions to this year’s Hop Farm Festival line-up: Black Lips, The Lightning Seeds, Peter and Kerry and Sally Archer are all now set to appear.
They’ll join an already hugely impressive slew of acts, which is headed up by none other than the mighty My Bloody Valentine. Other performers at this year’s edition of the festival are set to include The Horrors, The Cribs, Edwyn Collins, Rodriguez, First Aid Kit, Dinosaur Jr, Toy and Tall Ships.
After suffering from financial difficulties since last year’s event, the festival has been scaled back to a two day event, rather than it’s usual three. It will, however, still happen at Paddock Wood, and this year takes place between 5th and 6th July. For more information, please visit the festival website.
Speaking of this year’s event, festival organiser Vince Power commented, “I am pleased to announce the sixth Hop Farm line up this year, which includes headliners My Bloody Valentine, exclusive to the Hop Farm Festival, off the back of their much awaited new album. Plus I’m excited to add international folk legend Rodriguez to the bill this year. ‘Searching for Sugar Man’, has just won an Academy Award and a BAFTA, so this is a very special year to welcome him to the Hop Farm. Last year has been tough for me, as it has been across the board for the festival market. I wanted to keep the festival going, but I’ve had to make changes for it to continue.”
