Festivals Christine and the Queens announces first acts for this year’s Meltdown Festival

Warpaint, Moonchild Sanelly, Sigur Rós and more will be performing.
The 28th edition of Meltdown Festival is taking place this year at London’s Southbank from Friday 9th June until Sunday 18th June, curated by Christine and the Queens.
Revealing the first acts set to perform, Chris will take to the stage twice, and will be joined by performances from Warpaint, Moonchild Sanelly, Sigur Rós, Yemi Alade, KOKOROKO, Lynks, serpentwithfeet, Let’s Eat Grandma and loads more.
“Art to save the city!” Chris says. “Ten nights that are ours. Southbank Centre filled with beloved artists, some I discovered recently, some I know are amazing performers and poets. Dance. Theatre. Words and music. Friends and future friends. Raving, hopefully. Art to save the city! To free its contours and enliven the soul — it’s the why we do what we do. I can’t effing wait.”
