Christine and the Queens reveals new video for '5 Dollars'

The track is the third preview of her forthcoming second album ‘Chris’.

Christine and the Queens has offered up another preview of her forthcoming second album - this time, in the form of ‘5 Dollars’.

The track, which follows on from ‘Girlfriend’ and ‘Doesn’t matter’, is the third cut to be taken from ‘Chris’, the follow-up to her 2014 debut ‘Chaleur Humaine’.

Speaking of ‘5 Dollars’ in a press release, she has said: “The song is so tender, so disheveled. It’s dealing with some kind of love - the kind you can buy. It’s a literal interpretation. A note for a shag - how surprisingly soothing this can be! The power ratio runs clear, like water in your hands; it becomes a pure gesture of love, of ultimate consent.”

Her latest offering also comes complete with a new video, which she describes as “American Gigolo with a twist” - watch it below.

‘Chris’, her forthcoming new full-length, is due for release on 21st September via Because Music.
