Cloud Nothings are back! Hear ‘Modern Act’ from new album ‘Life Without Sound’

Get excited, lads and ladies - Cloud Nothings are back!

The Cleveland bunch have announced their new, fifth album ‘Life Without Sound’ with a stream of the pummelling ‘Modern Act’. It comes following a few not-so-subtle hints that a record was coming in various interviews, and a sneaky little teaser from the band’s social media last week.

On typically self-examining form, frontman and songwriter Dylan Baldi explains that “it seems like my work has been about finding my place in the world, but there was a point in which I realised that you can be missing something important in your life, a part you didn’t realise you were missing until it’s there - hence the title. This record is like my version of new age music,” he continues: “It’s supposed to be inspiring.”

A soaring, unifying cut, ‘Modern Act’ certainly inspires the kind of rampant devotion the band’s fanbase have become renowned for - stream it below the record’s track list.

‘Life Without Sound’ is the follow-up to 2014’s ace ‘Here And Nowhere Else’ - if you discount last year’s Wavves collab record - and set for a January 27th release via Wichita. Cloud Nothings embark on a new UK and European tour later in the new year (dates below the player).
