Damon Albarn, Charli XCX & More For The Africa Express
That’s a train journey, if you weren’t already privy to that knowledge.

Details have been announced regarding the first set of artists confirmed to appear on The African Express.
If you don’t actually know what that is, well, it’s a train that is set to travel across the UK - beginning in London on the 2nd September.
Established by Damon Albarn, the carriages will be filled with all manner of of African and Western musicians alongside the initial acts to be announced.
They include: Amadou & Mariam, Damon Albarn, Rokia Traoré, Kano, Baloji, Charli XCX, Fatoumata Diawara, Noisettes, Jupiter & Okwess International and Jack Steadman of Bombay Bicycle Club.
The train will make several stops around the UK, for performances at all manner of every day venues - think cafés, factories, schools…
The dates and cities of their appearances are as follows.
SEPTEMBER
03 Town Hall - Middlesbrough
04 The Arches - Glasgow
05 The Ritz - Manchester
06 Solus (Cardiff University) - Cardiff
07 The Big Top @ Creative Common - Bristol
