David Lynch Promises First Ever Record Store Day Release

The 12-inch heavyweight vinyl single will be designed by Vaughan Oliver.

David Lynch has revealed details of his first ever commercially available vinyl single Record Store Day release in time for the event taking place on 21st April 2012.

Lynch will release a 12-inch heavyweight vinyl single designed by Vaughan Oliver with side a featuring a remix of the track ‘Noah’s Ark’ (taken from 2011’s ‘Crazy Clown Time’) by Moby and side B featuring ‘etchings’.

Last year, David Lynch released his debut solo record via Sunday Best Recordings, an album recorded at his own Asymmetrical Studio with engineer Dean Hurley.

Of the remix, Moby says, “David lynch is my friend and I love his movies and his art and his music. Few things make me happier than working with him.”

Lynch is pleased with Moby’s rework, stating: “I thought how great it is that Moby wanted to remix one of our songs and I loved his remix.”
