Deer Tick and Sharon Van Etten cover Lou Reed in Brooklyn

The take on ‘Perfect Day’ was as part of Deer Tick’s 10th anniversary celebrations

Deer Tick invited Sharon Van Etten on stage in Brooklyn last week for a cover of Lou Reed’s ‘Perfect Day’.

As part of the band’s 10th anniversary celebrations, they played a six-night residency at the Brooklyn Bowl, covering a classic album in full each night, with a host of special guests joining them throughout.

Last Saturday (Dec 27th) the Providence, Rhode Island band took on the ‘Transformers’ record by the late Lou Reed, with Titus Andronicus’ Patrick Stickles joining the band for ‘I’m So Free’, as well as Van Etten for ‘Perfect Day’.

Other albums the band embarked on playing included ‘Meet The Beatles!’ and NRBQ’s 1980 album ‘Tiddlywinks’, helped by members of Dawes and The Replacements.
