Deerhoof have released ‘Mountain Moves’ two weeks early

All proceeds from the early release will go to the Emergent Fund.

Deerhoof’s new album ‘Mountain Moves’ isn’t officially coming out until 8th September on Joyful Noise, but the band have released the record early!

The record, which features Jenn Wasner of Wye Oak, Stereolab’s Laetitia Sadier, Awkwafina, Juana Molina, Matana Roberts and more, is now available on Deerhoof’s Bandcamp page, and will be a pay-what-you-like download until 7th September. 100% of the proceeds from the record until then are set to be donated to The Emergent Fund.

The fund supports grassroots organisations in communities that face injustice based on racial, ethnic, religious and other forms of discrimination. They support strategies that that help these communities respond to rapidly changing conditions, including resisting new and amplified threats and building power to initiate more proactive agendas.

Meanwhile, Deerhoof are headed to the UK next month to play a couple of shows after their appearance at End of the Road Festival. They’ll be playing in London and Ramsgate, and tickets are on sale now.
