Dream Wife are inviting everyone to ‘Room 341’
The track is their first new music since the arrival of third album ‘Social Lubrication’ last year.
Party punk trio Dream Wife have returned with ‘Room 341’, a standalone single that acts as a follow up to their 2023 third LP ‘Social Lubrication’ and their International Women’s Day cover of t.A.T.u.’s ‘All The Things She Said’.
Summarised by the band as “our tongue in cheek nod to the rock n roll motif of ‘trashing the hotel room party’”, the track is a playful call to dance powered by rollicking riffs and winking vocals that stand in contrast to the Wives’ self-described “lived reality of party hard on stage and sleeping hard back at the hotel”.
Continuing, they have shared: “In fact, as all of our first jobs as young adults were working in hotels, we have more experience of the post party clear up than than the party itself… Room 341 brings together playful vocals and euphoric guitar lics to conjor a fantasy party of unicorns, mums and firefighters - possibly in London, Reykjavik or perhaps outerspace. Wherever the door is and whatever’s behind it, you better call the babysitter…”
