Earl Sweatshirt shares ten-minute track, ‘Solace’
New project is a collage dedicated to Earl’s mother.
Earl Sweatshirt has shared a new track, the ten-minute collage titled ‘Solace’.
Described as “music from when I hit the bottoms and found something”, the track is mainly consisted of hazy instrumentals and spoken word samples. The new project was alluded to in a recent interview with NPR. “We set up a studio at my house and I did a little project real real fast,” he said. “It’s called Solace. And that, I’m just sitting - it’s more for my mom.”
Earl Sweatshirt tweeted the link on last night (Tuesday 28th March) saying, “find your solace in your Self” and “IF YA SOUL INTACT LET ME KNOW”.
Earl Sweatshirt recently released his third album, ‘I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside’, the follow-up to his 2013 release ‘Doris’. Listen to ‘Solace’ below.
