Music is the real winner
East India Youth shares ‘Turn Away’ from new album ‘Culture Of Volume’
Track is the second to be showcased from the upcoming sophomore record.
London-based producer William Doyle is wasting no time on the follow-up to Mercury Prize-nominated ‘Total Strife Forever’, having now shared ‘Turn Away’, the second track from album number two, ‘Culture Of Volume’.
Premiered by Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1, the track follows ‘Carousel’’s lead in hinting at ‘Culture Of Volume’s potentially boundary-crushing scale. Where ‘Carousel’ was stripped-back and simplified, ‘Turn Away’ sees Doyle push his electronic imaginations further than ever before, taking in influences as seemingly disparate as krautrock and chiptune, and yet making the whole thing flow with ease.
Stream ‘Turn Away’ below. ‘Culture Of Volume’ is released April 6th on XL Recordings.
