Exclusive: Listen: Shopping Stream ‘Consumer Complaints’ Album In Full
Milk Records signings show no signs of restraint on relentless debut - listen now on DIY.

The choppy guitar bursts and bellowed chants of East London’s SHOPPING have made their way onto a debut album, ‘Consumer Complaints’. All titles point to a band hitting the proverbial cash register and living a second life on the high street. Musically though, there’s a head-spinning desire to project something raw and stuffed to the brim with a ravaged punk ethos - it couldn’t be further away from Argos at Christmas if it tried.
DIY’s delighted to be streaming the debut in full, a week ahead of its release on Milk Records. For the most part it’s a distinctly minimal punk record, in relative terms. Open spaces are barricaded by effect-stripped guitars and boldly declared vocals from Trash Kit’s Rachel Aggs that never jolt out of a frenzied state.
Listen to the album in full below. Pre-order ‘Consumer Complaints’ via Milk Records. It might even come with a receipt, but you’re unlikely to be issuing any complaints.
This is no longer available for streaming but can be purchased over on iTunes.
