Fall Out Boy perform ‘Centuries’ at Peoples Choice Awards

The track is taken from the imminent ‘American Beauty/American Pyscho’ album.

With their sixth album, ‘American Beauty/American Psycho’ due in a matter of weeks, Fall Out Boy gave the Peoples Choice Awards a taster of what was to come, with a storming rendition of ‘Centuries’, which you can watch below.

In an interview with DIY, Pete Wentz told of how the track originally came together. “With this song, Patrick [Stump] just put his foot to the pedal and woosh out it came. I was like, ‘Holy shit, we haven’t even finished touring the last record yet!’ But it felt like the song was that imminent that we needed to do it.”

Fall Out Boy’s sixth album ‘American Beauty/American Psycho’ is out on 19th January and the band have already teased its arrival by sharing the first four tracks from the album; ‘Irresistible’, ‘The Kid’s Aren’t Alright’, the aforementioned ‘Centuries’ and the title track. The band will launch the album with an intimate show at London’s Islington Assembly Hall on January 14th.

For those unfamiliar with the history of Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco’s Brendan Urie recently gave a drunk lesson on the subject.
