Family Time return with dreamy new cut ‘The Grand Collide’

Every weekday, DIY’s new music know-it-all Neu brings you one essential new release to get obsessed with. Today’s Neu Pick comes from Family Time.

Family Time are a band with a slightly stranger origin story than most. Retreating from London to Mallorca in the Spring of 2017, the band set up a studio on the island and tested out their new tracks on the guests at the island’s famous all-inclusive holiday resorts, posing as a covers band to get the gig.

The songs from those sessions make up the collection of tracks they’re now steadily releasing. First, with ‘Magic Abyss Hotel’ a few months ago, and now with ‘The Grand Collide’, a dreamy track that feels influenced by the sun and sea surroundings in which it was made.
