Febueder unveil ‘Owing’ track from brand new EP
Exciting Ascot-based shape-shifters have signed to Melodic for their second release.
It begins with a couple of scattered strums and barely-there handclaps, and then Febueder get into their groove.
The Ascot-based trio have just signed to Melodic Records for their second EP, ‘Lilac Lane’. Out 13th October, it’s being headed up by the ultra-inventive, shape-shifting ‘Owing’.
Back in January, Febueder played one of Neu and DIY’s ‘Hello 2014’ shows in London. Beyond a hyped-up billing, they upped their fledging reputation by delivering a set indebted to dagger-sharp math rock and arena-inclined anthemia in equal measures. Their latest track comes off like Foals stumbling into a Dirty Projectors practice session. There’s a dangerous to and fro at play, with countless guitar structures ducking and diving into view. “I’ve seen better days,” they shout in unison, but in reality they sound like a band in their finest form.
‘Lilac Lane’ can be pre-ordered now via Melodic, with ‘Owing’ available as an immediate download.
Tracklist:
1. Remix
2. Brazillia
3. Henna Sun
4. Owing
5. Celebrating Mask
Febueder play London’s Hotting Hill Arts Club on 7th September.
