Floating Points announces debut album ‘Elaenia,’ shares ‘Silhouettes’ video

Floating Points has announced his debut release ‘Elaenia’. Out on 6th November via Pluto, it’ll be the first full length from Sam Shepherd, who juggled engineering the album with five years of studying for a PhD in neuroscience.

Shepherd has also shared the video for ‘Silhouettes’ - an excerpt from eleven-minute epic album track ‘‘Silhouettes (I, II & III)’. The video is directed by Junior Martínez and Pablo Barquín. Elsewhere Floating Points designed his own album artwork for ‘Elaenia’ by making a harmonograph; a homemade music-reactive light machine.
