Wahoooooo
Foals have started working on their new album!
…if a comment from a flower-adorned Yannis Phillippakis is anything to go by.

This summer, Foals played a handful of gigs, their last on the tour for 2015’s five star-rated ‘What Went Down’, bringing out deep cuts and pulling the curtain down on the best era of their career.
They said it would be the last shows before they began work on their new, fifth album, and if a new Instagram post from frontman Yannis Philippakis is anything to go by, they were telling the truth…
“Off to write the next record brb,” he wrote, wearing a pretty lovely pink shirt and carrying a whole florists’ worth of matching flowers. What a guy.
Last summer, the band revealed that the hiatus they had planned had been (wonderfully, for us) binned off, in an interview with Q.
“I want us to break the chains of familiarity and to have that question mark in the room again,” explained Yannis of their decision to bin their planned rest time. “I think that it’ll be beneficial for the band just to be nervous about being in the room together again. I think we need to rock our own boat.”
Here’s to a new Foals album, then!
