Fontaines DC drop surprise deluxe edition of ‘Romance’ alongside new song ‘Before You I Just Forget’
The new record also includes an unreleased live version of ‘Starburster’ as well as latest single ‘It’s Amazing To Be Young’.

Fontaines DC have dropped a deluxe edition of their most recent album ‘Romance’, alongside a brand new single ‘Before You I Just Forget’. The new record also features an unheard live version of popular track ‘Starburster’, which was recorded featuring David Lynch’s ‘In Heaven (Lady In The Radiator Song)’.
New single, ‘Before You I Just Forget’ is a gentle, yet industrial offering from the band. “[It’s] a song that started with a vision of this really blown out sound, something that heaved and shifted with new details becoming apparent every time you would listen,” guitarist Conor Curley said on the single. “Like never being able to step in the same river twice, the song morphs and changes, finishing with an incredible string part by Grian.”
The surprise announcement comes shortly after the release of their recent track ‘It’s Amazing To Be Young’, which also appears on the new version of the acclaimed album. 2024’s ‘Romance’ is the BRIT winning band’s fourth studio album, which saw their rise to mainstream fame with major tracks such as ‘Favourite’, ‘In The Modern World’ and ‘Starburster’.
This summer the band will play their biggest headline to date at Finsbury Park in London. The 45,000 capacity sold out show will be supported by special guests including the likes of Amyl and the Sniffers, Kneecap, and Blondshell.
