Foxygen Cancel FYF Fest Appearance, Explain Sam France Injuries

Brooklynites go into gory, technical detail about their frontman’s multiple injuries.

Foxygen have released a series of statement going into gory, all-confirming detail about Sam France’s multiple injuries. Just in case you had any doubts.

France experienced a fall during the band’s performance in Minneapolis last month. They’ve since been forced to cancel several shows, most recently a scheduled appearance at LA’s FYF Fest.

Since Sam was rushed off stage, details on the injuries and length of downtime have been scarce. Until now. Foxygen have made up for lost time by publishing a veritable doctor’s report of a statement on the injuries sustained to their frontman.

A lengthy, technical statement reads:

Foxygen will be unable to perform at next week’s FYF Festival in Los Angeles. The cancellation is directly related to injuries sustained by Sam France during a Minnesota performance in late July. Sam sustained complete fractures of the tibia and fibula. The breaks were severe enough to require an intramedullar nailing of the tibia (Google Image this phrase) and a metal rod be placed in his leg. Sam is currently unable to walk, and the healing process — while already under way — will require six weeks of physical therapy. That said, the healing process is not so far
