Literally. There’s also a spot of “antenatal skydiving”…

Francobollo are born in the surreal video for ‘Worried Times’

Ready for another surreal dive into the world of Sweden via London group Francobollo? Strap yourself in for this one…

With their debut ‘Long Live Life’ out imminently (that’s 14th July on Square Leg Records to be precise), the band have already shared its recent single, ‘Worried Times’, which according to singer Simon Nilsson is “about claustrophobia, and the fear of being locked down, tied to, held up or forced by something or someone, and about the fine art of committing”. Now bassist Sam Bailey has stepped up to deliver a video for the single. And yep, it’s a little bit weird.

So, remember Laurent, who won that round of BingoLotto in the video for ‘Good Times’? Well, he’s back, having won an intimate performance by the band. Except, he didn’t bank on it being this intimate. Yep, Laurent is pregnant. Work that one out. Anyway, he goes to an antenatal class with a lot of happy couples and learns to embrace his baby bump, including by taking part in some “antenatal skydiving”. It all ends in the miracle of birthing a band. And Laurent seems very proud of his musically-gifted children.

The band explained a bit more about the video: “The video for ‘Worried Times’ continues on where ‘Good Times’ left us. It charts the movements of Laurent having won ‘An intimate performance from Francobollo’ on Swedish television’s bingo sensation show BingoLotto. Thrust into a world populated by characters from old Francobollo videos, we see what it means to have Francobollo inside of you: a new powersport, antenatal skydiving”.

After the gestation period, Francobollo will be playing a tonne of headline shows in October and November. See all of their upcoming tour dates on their Facebook page.
