Frightened Rabbit set up The Scott Hutchison Fund, announce NYC fundraiser with Julien Baker, Ben Gibbard, Aaron Dessner & more

The band are planning on setting up a fully-formed mental health charity in the memory of the late singer.

Frightened Rabbit have announced details of a new fundraising event in New York City this December. ‘Tiny Changes: A Celebration Of The Songs Of Scott Hutchison’ will commemorate the late singer, who died this May, and feature the likes of Julien Baker, Death Cab For Cutie’s Ben Gibbard, The National’s Aaron Dessner (who produced the band’s last album ‘Painting Of A Panic Attack’), The Hold Steady’s Craig Finn and Kevin Devine.

All proceeds from the gig, which takes place on 5th December at Rough Trade NYC in Brooklyn, will go to the newly established Scott Hutchison Fund.

Scott’s brother and Frightened Rabbit drummer Grant explains: “The Scott Hutchison Fund has been set up in memory of our beloved Scott. It will form the basis for a Mental Health Charity to be set up fully in the coming months. We hope to be able to help others the way Scott did with kindness, empathy and hope.”

Tickets for the event go on sale this Friday (2nd November) here.
