FUR unveil nostalgic, Beatles-esque romp of a video for ‘Angel Eyes’
The track is the first single to be taken from the Brighton band’s eponymous debut EP.
Brighton quartet FUR might still be fairly new on the scene, but they’ve developed something of a knack for sepia-tinged, playfully nostalgic videos.
The clip for last year’s single ‘If You Know That I’m Lonely’ (released in conjunction with DIY’s collaborative project Jäger Curtain Call dontchaknow) currently sits at nearly 4 million Youtube streams, and the visual for newie ‘Angel Eyes’ picks up that baton with aplomb.
Shot on grainy, Super8-style film and featuring the band running around in a ‘Hard Day’s Night’-esque caper, flirting with a girl whilst learning the rules of croquet, it’s an utterly charming introduction to the band’s eponymous debut EP - set for release, fittingly, on Valentine’s Day.
Of ‘Angel Eyes’, the band say: “It’s about the idea of a potential relationship that never came to fruition despite the scenarios that played out in your head giving you hope.”
Luckily, the video is a far less melancholy affair.
Watch below, and keep your (angel) eyes out for a limited edition red vinyl that’ll be released especially for the day of luuurrrvvve.
