Glasgow’s RESONATE unveils music industry event programme
And we’re teaming up as a media partner to catch all the excitement!
It’s a known thing that Scotland is killing the music game rn. Just a few months ago, we introduced ‘The Glasgow School’, three incredible Scottish acts - The Ninth Wave, Walt Disco, and Lucia - who are quickly becoming firm faves.
For those who are wanting to know more about the great things that are happening up north north, there’s only one place you need to be. Now in its third year, RESONATE is the go-to event in the Scottish music calendar for those who are working in - or want to work in - the Scottish music industry.
Announcing the 2019 key speakers and panellists today, speakers include Scottish artist Dame Evelyn Glennie, Jim Duguid who has worked with the likes of Sam Smith, George Ezra and Charli XCX, and the Scottish Album of The Year 2018 shortlisted Kobi Onyame.
Returning to Barras Art & Design Centre on 14th November, the hugely popular Drop-In Sessions - which offer the opportunity to chat with music ‘biz professionals - will also be happening, alongside Meet The Agents and Meet The Media events (the latter of which Team DIY will be getting involved with!).
This year also sees the addition of Creative East End, a new space that will feature a variety of workshops and an opportunity for delegates to conduct meetings, with sessions covering topics like ‘Routes To Festival Stages’ and ‘How To Make The Most of Your Release’ with independent music distributor CD Baby. There’ll be loads of additional live events in the run up to the main conference! What more could you want?
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
