HEALTH to make UK live return with Interpol support slots
They’ve been working with The Haxan Cloak on new material.
Los Angeles noise outfit HEALTH have announced plans to return to the UK & Ireland for five dates, supporting Interpol for their February 2015 European tour.
They’ll play London Roundhouse on 6th and 7th February before arriving at Manchester’s Albert Hall on 8th February, supporting the New Yorkers, who returned to form this year with their fifth album ‘El Pintor’.
HEALTH are still working on the follow up to 2009’s ‘Get Color’. A handful of warm-up gigs in 2013 slated the record for a release last year, but everything fell silent until earlier in 2014 when Tri Angle producer The Haxan Cloak confirmed he’d been working alongside the band on their forthcoming LP.
In an interview with The Quietus, Bobby Kiric confirmed that he’d been working with a couple of artists on new albums, including HEALTH. “[They’re] massively underrated. I don’t know what people think of HEALTH but maybe they think they’re just trendy dudes just trying out noise music. I think they have the wrong kind of image for some people—it’s a clothing issue maybe. But if you see them live… they’re just a monstrously heavy and weird band and I think this new record is going to cement that for them even further.”
HEALTH 2015 UK & Ireland dates (w/ Interpol):
FEBRUARY
06-07 London, Roundhouse
08 Manchester, Albert Hall
10-12 Dublin, Olympia Hall
