Hear Nicolas Jaar collaborate with DJ Slugo on new track
Politically-driven ‘GHETTO’ is out now via Jaar’s Other People imprint.
Nicolas Jaar has collaborated with DJ Slugo, a legendary ghetto house staple, on a new track titled ‘GHETTO’.
Out now via Jaar’s Other People imprint, it follows the release of DJ Slugo’s ‘King of Ghetto House’ EP from June this year. Backed by a political context, Jaar says the song was coined “in light of recent events”, with Slugo delivering statements like “where peace is not an option / and the world has turned its back on your children / I tell you - I am Ghetto.”
Earlier this year, Jaar announced that his Darkside project would be coming to an end. He’s expected to release his next full-length album - the follow-up to ‘Space Is Only Noise’ - in 2015.
