Honne share debut track, ‘Warm on a Cold Night’
Electronic duo hail from Somerset and Wiltshire, but their head’s on the California coast.
With half of its head somewhere in the clouds, the other half cruising palm tree-lined coastal streets, ‘Warm on a Cold Night’ is a head-turning, intimate debut from a new electronic duo called Honne. They’re from Somerset and Wiltshire via Bow, which sounds fancy, and on this first number they find themselves immersed in slap bass, synth lines lifted straight from James Blake’s most cabin fevered sessions, and lusty lyrics that might be HD-that’s-too-real for Frank Ocean.
There’s plenty of reference points in this debut, and that might be a contributing factor to making it so timeless. It’s coming out 1st September on Super Recordings (early home to Bondax and AlunaGeorge). That’s everything you need to know.
