HotWax announce debut album 'Hot Shock' and share lead single 'She's Got A Problem'

Hastings trio HotWax have unveiled details of their debut album, shared its lead single, and also announced a whole host of new tour dates.

Having been tipped for exciting things back in our January Class of 2024 issue, the band released their ‘A Thousand Times’ and ‘Invite me, kindly’ EPs last year, and will share their first full-length - entitled ‘Hot Shock’ - on 7th March 2025 via Marathon Artists.

Recorded with an all-female team - including producers Catherine Marks (boygenius, Wolf Alice) and Steph Marziano (Picture Parlour, Cassandra Jenkins) - ‘Hot Shock’ is set to encapsulate the rollercoaster emotional experience of finding recognition and gigging relentlessly whilst simultaneously coming of age. Speaking about the album, bassist Lola Sam has said: “Touring and constantly living in the moment can be chaotic. But there’s also a feeling of knowing that the more life experience we gain, the more fearless we become.”

The news of the LP has been heralded by the release of new track ‘She’s Got A Problem’ - a blistering slice of grunge-rock that captures the electric energy of HotWax’s now-signature live performances.

What’s more, having spent the Summer doing the rounds on the festival circuit, HotWax have also announced that they’ll be celebrating the release of ‘Hot Shock’ next Spring with a run of intimate UK instore dates.

You can watch the official video for ‘She’s Got A Problem’ and find out where to catch HotWax on tour below.
