Music is the real winner
Jack Garratt wins BRIT Critics’ Choice Award 2016
Garratt pipped fellow nominees Izzy Bizu and Frances to the prize.
Jack Garratt has been announced as the winner of the BRIT Critics’ Choice Award 2016.
Roughly translated to mean “he’s going to be a massive deal,” the award will be presented at an O2 Arena ceremony on 24th February.
Garratt won the award by pipping fellow nominees Izzy Bizu and Frances. His debut album ‘Phase’ is due out early next year, and he’s recently confirmed a big UK tour, including Brixton Academy.
Previous winners of the award include Adele (2008), Florence + The Machine (2009), Sam Smith (2014) and last year’s walking talking hat, James Bay (2015). Jack Garratt also has a hat. Coincidence?
