Jamie Woon performs ‘Sharpness’ and covers Aaliyah in Live Lounge
The saucy warbler dropped in to see 1Xtra.
Live Lounge covers reached somewhat of a peak last month when Chvrches covered Justin Bieber’s smash ‘What Do You Mean?’, but Jamie Woon gave it a competitor yesterday (7th October) with a version of Aaliyah’s ‘Try Again’.
The singer, who releases his long-awaited second album ‘Making Time’ on 6th November, performed its lead single ‘Sharpness’ as well as the impossibly smooth cover for BBC Radio 1Xtra.
Woon announced his return in August after years away, and is also set to return to the live arena next month, with a run of European dates that include a show at London’s Scala.
