Earlier tonight (18th November), Jamie xx appeared on BBC Radio 1 for a late night live lounge session on Annie Mac’s show.

The ‘In Colour’ producer was joined by his xx bandmates Romy Madley Croft and Oliver Sim. “He’s clearly Beyonce show. We have to remove ourselves,” they joked in an interview. Alongside those two, Four Tet appeared on ‘Seesaw’, and Warpaint’s Stella Mozgawa was on drums for the occasion.

The session and interview begins from 1 hour and 23 minutes here.

Jamie xx’s debut album ‘In Colour’ is the current bookies favourite for the 2015 Mercury Prize. A winner is announced at a BBC Broadcasting House ceremony on 20th November.

Also - Jamie gave an update on the new xx album. “We start again in the studio tomorrow, up until Christmas. It’s going well - we’re just enjoying it.” Exciting!
