Japandroids are set to release their second album later this year.
The band are set to drop the new record, titled ‘Celebration Rock’, in June. The eight track album includes 2010 single ‘Younger Us’ and a cover of The Gun Club’s ‘For the Love of Ivy’.
Speaking to Pitchfork about the record, guitarist Brian King describes how the band ‘tried to simulate the sound of what we thought the crowd would do during the songs.’
Japandroid’s debut album was nominated for both a Juno award for best Alternative album and the Polaris Music Prize.
