Johnny Marr Dismisses Smiths Reunion Rumours

Earlier today, the internet was set alight with rumours that The Smiths had reunited.

Alas, it seems untrue. What a surprise, ey?

Johnny Marr himself has posted on his official Facebook page to say ‘The rumours of the Smiths reunion is untrue. It’s not happening.’

According to www.music-news.com, The Smiths were looking set to reform, following the reunion of The Stone Roses last year.

It would’ve been the first time since 1987 that all four members - Morrissey, Johnny Marr, Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce - would share the stage together.

However, it looks like it’s back to the drawing board then.
