Kaiser Chiefs announce 'Employment' 20th anniversary UK shows

We predict a riot! Kaiser Chiefs have confirmed that they’ll be celebrating the 20th anniversary of their iconic debut album ‘Employment’ with a run of UK outdoor shows in 2025.

The news comes after the band announced a special hometown appearance in Leeds’ Temple Newsam Park for 31st May, where they’ll be supported by fellow indie stalwarts Razorlight, The Cribs, The Coral, We Are Scientists and more.

Now, seven new dates have been added to the celebrations, including fesitval sets at In It Together, Kendall Calling and Boardmasters. “20 years ago, a brand new song by a brand new band was released,” Kaiser Chiefs have commented. “‘I Predict A Riot’ was the start of something really special for some musicians from Leeds. And the album that followed, ‘Employment’, changed our lives and has soundtracked the lives of millions of others since 2005.

“In 2025 we are saluting 20 years of that album and everyone is invited. Come celebrate the 2000’s, loving everything less & less and stripey blazers taking over the world. See you all next year.”

Tickets for Kaiser Chief’s new headline shows (ie: their non-festival dates in Bristol, Edinburgh, London, and Brighton) will go on general sale at 9am this Friday, 8th November. Get yourself in the rioting mood and check out where you can catch them live next year below.
