Listen Kasabian’s Serge Pizzorno launches new project The S.L.P., shares new track
His first offering ‘Favourites’ features an appearance from Little Simz.
Kasabian’s Serge Pizzorno has launched his new project, aptly-titled The S.L.P, after his full name Serge Lorenzo Pizzorno.
He’s also revealed a first taste of it in the form of new track ‘Favourites’, which features an appearance from Little Simz. You can hear it below.
Speaking of the track, Serge has said: “’Favourites’ is about identity in the digital age. I was interested in how online dating is a sort of snapshot of this identity crisis. Through the speed and structure of the song, I wanted to capture the feeling of the real you inside your head trying to get out and escape during a first date. It’s a dialogue between two people who are coming to terms with their true selves through their digital interaction becoming a physical one.”
The track gets taken from a forthcoming album, which was recorded during Kasabian’s recent year off.
