King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard announce new acoustic album ‘Paper Mâché Dream Balloon’

Australian psych-rockers King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have always been ones to shed their skin with each new release, but newly-announced seventh album ‘Paper Mâché Dream Balloon’ might mark their biggest leap of faith yet.

Recorded entirely with acoustic instruments - “Acoustic guitars, flute, double bass, fiddle, harmonica, drum kit, clarinet. Whatever we could find really,” states frontman Stu Mackenzie in a press release - ‘Paper Mâché Dream Balloon’ sees the band stepping further away from their grungy, garage-rock roots than ever before, instead embracing dreamy, airy acoustic-pop.

The album’s whimsical title track is streaming below, with the children’s TV indebted artwork below that. ‘Paper Mâché Dream Balloon’ is released via Heavenly Recordings on November 13th.
