Liverpool-based newcomer Låpsley has unveiled her first new music in seven months, ‘Falling Short’.
The track follows on from the head-turning ‘Station’ and its quickfire follow-up ‘Painter (valentine)’. Since then, the 18 year old’s become one of the most talked-about new UK artists, riding on the back of her delicate, ultra-inventive take on electronic pop.
‘Falling Short’ - taken from a new EP - forms part of the Annie Mac Presents 2014 compilation. Getting by on a refrain of “It’s been a long time coming but I’m falling short,” it punctuates simple piano lines with an ultra-spacious aesthetic.
Pre-order the Annie Mac compilation here - more Låpsley EP details TBA.
