Laura Marling, The Cribs, The Staves, Courtney Barnett on course for UK top 10 albums
Official Chart update sees James Bay taking the top spot.
Midweek figures for the Official Albums Chart see The Cribs, Courtney Barnett, The Staves and Laura Marling all on course for a place in the top 10.
With the final Official Chart announced this Sunday, Laura Marling’s ‘Short Movie’ is currently at #3 in today’s update - James Bay is set for a #1 with his debut album, ‘Chaos and the Calm’.
Top ten entries are also set to come from The Cribs (#7 with ‘For All My Sisters’), The Staves (#8 with ‘If I Was’) and Courtney Barnett, with her debut ‘Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit’.
Earl Sweatshirt’s surprise release ‘I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside’ is at #36, with rapper Action Bronson at #27 thanks to ‘Mr Wonderful’.
In the Official Singles Chart update, Jess Glynne’s ‘Hold My Hand’ is taking the top spot, having sold nearly 50,000 copies. She’s ahead of James Bay, at #2 with ‘Hold Back The River’.
