Listen: Alkaline Trio Share Another ‘My Shame Is True’ Track

‘The Torture Doctor’ features on the record, released 1st April.

Earlier this month came both news of a new album from punk threesome Alkaline Trio - and the first taster, in the shape of ‘I Wanna Be A Warhol’.

‘My Shame Is True’, the band’s ninth studio album, was recorded at Blasting Room Studios in Colorado with Bill Stevenson of The Descendents and Black Flag, and Jason Livermore. It will be released via Epitaph on 1st April.

Of the album, frontman Matt Skiba says ‘We’re very proud of it. Once we got in the studio, the songs really took on a shape of their own.”

‘It’s never been about being rich or famous. We always wanted to have the band be our career… to have that longevity… that should be the goal. We are going to do it until it stops being fun. If it ever feels like a job, why would you be involved in the arts at all? We have the right chemistry as a band and with crowds, big or small. We have community within a community.”

Following on from that first taster, the band have shared a second cut from the record, titled ‘The Torture Doctor’, via a lyric video.
