Listen: BANKS Unveils New Track, ‘Drowning’
Listen to the fantastic, Al Shux-produced new track from BANKS.

is previewing her debut album ‘Goddess’ (out 8th September) with a new track, produced by Al Shux.
‘Drowning’ just gained its first play on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show as a Hottest Record. Linking up with a recently unveiled title-track, ‘Drowning’ is a suitably aqueous take, dripping in sophisticated production and shuffling beats. There’s even a flicker of - whisper it - dance-anthem style synths working their way into the foreground. If BANKS is planning on genuinely taking on the charts with something special, this might well be it.
About ‘Drowning’, the LA songwriter told Zane that it’s about ‘creating the idea of a relationship where you’re unheard, you’re trapped in this box - it’s not a healthy situation.’
