Listen: Black Lips Unveil ‘Justice After All’

Preview of ‘Underneath The Pine’ is a gap-toothed, grubby gem.

Based on what they’ve showcased so far, Black Lips don’t look likely to make a sudden switch to white-toothed, clean and chirpy music. Their grim and grubby routine’s served them well so far, although new song ‘Justice After All’ suggests that if they’re changing anything, they might be adding a sense of theatre to their gap-toothed grinning rock’n’roll.

The song’s still as dirty as a New York sewer, but its jangling riffs - coupled with recent cowboy-centric band photos - give hints that Black Lips might be embracing their image as bad guys, using it for all its worth.

Catch up with ‘Boys In The Wood’ and listen to ‘Justice After All’ below.

‘Underneath the Rainbow’ is released on 17th March through Vice.
