Listen: Braids Stream New ‘Fruend’ Track
Braids’ second album gains release this August via Arbutus.

Ambitious Canadian folk Braids are airing their twinkling, experimental tracks at a ridiculous rate right now. Previewing their ‘Flourish // Perish’ album - due out via Full Time Hobby, 19th August - new song ‘Fruend’ links up with ‘Hossak’, which came out last week.
Unlike ‘Hossak’, this one doesn’t make comments about pizza, which is a shame. ‘Fruend’ (pronounced ‘Froi-nd’ or ‘Fwend’, it’s hard to say) is more concerned with subtle clicks, echoing synthetics and musings on ‘deathbeds’, all put together in bittersweet motion.
